The True Tale of Princess Kaguya is a modern adaptation of the traditional Japanese folktale Kaguya Hime (trans. Princess Kaguya/Tale of the Bamboo Cutter), written with a feminist twist from a genderqueer perspective. The show will include puppetry, shadow puppetry, illustration, animation, music, dance, and origami art.
